How do I consistently maximize a certain window cross platform?

-1

I interface with my Python3 program through a console window. On Windows, this is obviously CMD. On Linux this is one of many terminal applications. On OSX this is their default terminal application. I'm trying to find a way to A. Target this window specifically among others. B. Maximize it...

Some ways I've turned up are: Using Ctypes. (Windows only) Using curses. (Big hammer for small problem) Using Pyautogui to emulate the "maximize window keybinding". (Extremely hacky. Keybindings can be changed...)

Is there ANY way to properly maximize a window cross platform in a clean and efficient way? I'm running out of steam and grasping at straws.

I'd be fine with using Ctypes if I could find an answer for Linux and OSX, but from what I can tell there is none.
