How to get a smooth cursor follow with JQuery and CSS on mozilla firefox browser?

0

I made a custom cursor and cursor follow effect with JQuery and CSS for web page. It's pretty fine on Chrome and Opera. And this codes are also working on Mozilla Firefox but cursor follow effect don't work smoothly on it like other browsers.

I've tried browser support properties(eg.-webkit- , -moz-) for transform and transition properties.

<!-- Pointer Follow HTML Code-->
<div class="pointer"></div>

/* Pointer Follow CSS Code */
.pointer{
position: absolute;
top: 50%;
left: 50%;
transform: translate(-50%,-50%)!important;
-webkit-transform: translate(-50%,-50%)!important;
-ms-transform: translate(-50%,-50%)!important;
-moz-transform: translate(-50%,-50%)!important;
-o-transform: translate(-50%,-50%)!important;
background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);
width: 40px;
height: 40px;
border-radius: 50%;
pointer-events: none;
box-sizing: border-box;
z-index: 1;
transition: 0.05s ease!important;
-webkit-transition: 0.05s ease!important;
-moz-transition: 0.05s ease!important;
-ms-transition: 0.05s ease!important;
-o-transition: 0.05s ease!important;
}

/* Pointer Follow JQuery */
$(document).mousemove(function(e){
$('.pointer').css({
left : e.pageX,
top : e.pageY
});

});

I want the cursor effect to work smoothly on mozilla firefox.

  • here is an idea with only JS: stackoverflow.com/a/54169989/8620333 .. I advice you to use the method that change translate instead of top/left and you will have better performance
