How to route a package logs to file and it's sub-package to another file in Log4j2 without duplication of log...

-1

I want to log Spring logs to a file like a following:

    <Logger name="org.springframework" level="debug">
<AppenderRef ref="Spring"/>
</Logger>

I also use CommonsRequestLoggingFilter to log http requests-responses and i would like to route this records to a separate file. But following configuration brings a duplication of log records in package logger, since CommonsRequestLoggingFilter is a part of org.springframework package.

    <Logger name="org.springframework.web.filter.CommonsRequestLoggingFilter" level="debug">
<AppenderRef ref="WebRequests"/>
</Logger>

How can i achieve routing of a log files in within one package?

  • Take a look at the configuration page of the log4j2 manual, focus on the "Additivity" section.
