How to Block Screen Recording with SetWindowDisplayAffinity in c#?
I am developing a program that blocks screen recording. and I want to use SetWindowDisplayAffinity to block screen recording. but not working.
I succeeded "SetWindowDisplayAffinity(this.Handle, 1);" to block screen recording my form, but I can not block screen recording other programs like notepad.
I want to block screen recording in notepad. I used "Process" to get the handle of the notepad, but it did not work.
I import user32.dll with DllImport.
using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
[DllImport("User32.dll")]
static extern bool SetWindowDisplayAffinity(IntPtr hWnd, int dwAffinity);
and Main code :
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Process p = Process.GetProcessesByName("notepad");
Process s = p[0];
IntPtr handle = s.MainWindowHandle; // I've tried s.Handle
MessageBox.Show(Convert.ToString(SetWindowDisplayAffinity(handle, 1)));
}
I thought the screen recording would be blocked, but it was not.
How can I solve this problem?
c# user32

So the question is how to block screen recording using C#? If right, then you should change the title of your question

SetWindowDisplayAffinity is a User32 function (docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/api/winuser/…). You should tag it appropriately (so that someone who knows about this has a better chance of seeing it. You can't just call a User32 function directly from C#, you must have a P/Invoke definition somewhere. You should include that in your post. For example, here's the pinvoke.net page on that (pinvoke.net/default.aspx/user32.SetWindowDisplayAffinity). Notice that it defines an enum rather than just using "1"
