Selenium Filechooser IE9 issue

0

Using Selenium to select a file from the file chooser it works the first time but not on the second iteration. This is a secure work environment with access to IE9 on Windows 2008 Server platform using Java 1.8 32 bit.

This is currently being executed using a scenario outline in a cucumber feature file. The outline logs into the system chooses a file fills in various other fields successfully before hitting an upload button that returns to the original input page for the next iteration but the file chooser opens but hangs when selecting the next file.

Cucumber:-

Scenario Outline: An Example
...
Then I type "<document>" into the document field
...

Examples:
document
\pathtofile1.docx
\pathtofile2.docx

Java:

@FindBy (name = "addDocument")
private WebElement documentfield;
...
public void enterdocumentfield (String document)
{
this.documentfield.clear();
this.documentfield.sendKeys(document);
}

Our investigations so far have been:

 1. Adding timeouts before and after

 2. Changing the second document to also be file1.

 3. Checked to see if the HTML has changed after clicking the upload button

 4. Adding ie.fileUploadDialogueTimeout capability to the driver

 5. Checked to see if the Application Portal had any outstanding issues not known about previously.

All other fields work correctly on all iterations.
