Fluid Simulation breaks after 20% into baking and gives the above effect.
I tried deleting the cache files and backing again, trying to create waves.

  • Sometimes it breaks after 40-50%

  • Does it happen with any fluid setup, what exact version are you using, what does "breaks after 20%" mean? Does blender crash? Is there an error message?

  • I'm using v2.79, fluid simulation was showing odd behavior around 20% into baking. no crash or error message. it completes baking but there is no fuild surface through out afterwards(see image).
