Delphi could not load ssl library
I'm using Delphi 10.2 and when I do an idHTTP.Get on a https url I get this error message:
Could not load SSL library
I'm going to "indy.fulgan.com/SSL" and download the latest version. I copy both DLLs beside my .exe (and in System32 too)
I thought it was enough to fix it, but even with DLL I'm getting above error.

please double-check that you using correct OpenSSL DLL's. They are comming for x86 and x64 platforms and you need two files:libeasy32.dllandssleay32.dll. DLL's has the same file names for x64 and x86 platforms.

Please consider using ofTHTTPClientwhich are available since Delphi DX10. It's inSystem.Net.HttpClient. OpenSSL library does not required forTHTTPClient

OpenSSL is optional inTIdHTTP. You need it only when you open a securehttpsconnection. Personally I found TIdHTTP much easier to use.

@Marcodor the OP is using HTTPS, though. But you are right that OpenSSL is optional. That just happens to be Indy's default SSL/TLS library of choice, but you can use any SSL/TLS library you want, as long as you have aTIdSSLIOHandlerSocketBasederived class to wrap it for use in Indy (Eldos SecureBlackbox, for example, provides its own IOHandler for Indy).

@Bosshoss there is no way to diagnose your problem with the limited information you have provided. There are many things that can go wrong (wrong DLLs, for your platform. Missing exports. Etc). After the error occurs, what does Indy'sWhichFailedToLoad()function in theIdSSLOpenSSLHeadersunit report is the cause of the error?
