Serving AMP pages with ASP.NET MVC 5

0

I am trying to implement AMP pages to an existing ASP.NET MVC 5 website with a database driven blog.

I have followed the following blog which offers a few different solutions for serving the AMP pages;

https://www.danylkoweb.com/Blog/the-complete-guide-to-google-amp-with-aspnet-mvc-G4

The first page details using the DisplayModeProvider to redirect all page urls with ?amp to the relevant views, e.g. index.amp.cshtml.

It then details using the FilterAttribute and regex to rewrite the returned html so it is AMP compliant. Which rewrite html store in our db as well which is a nice solution.

However, where I am getting stuck is how I would stop the rewrite of the html with the filter attribute when serving a standard page.

So for example, going to www.mysite.com/blog/index?amp

this will hit my BlogController and its Index method as expected but if the filter is applied at controller level the HTML is going to be be applied to the HTMLwhere the ?amp is appended or not?.

Is there a better possible solution to this? is it possible to apply the filter only when the ?amp url is applied.
