Import Frameworks from Github that are Cocoapods ready but not Carthage

0

I am working on a large iOS project that, among other things, It performs a provisioning process with a device that we have developed so it knows the Wi-Fi network the phone is connected to and connects to the same network. This process is similar than the Sonos provisioning process.

Furthermore, the same project is being developed for Android and the example we have taken to do this part can be found HERE

Having said that, the implementation uses the Christophhagen/Curve25519 library but it can be installed only using Cocoapods.

I have been always a little bit reticent with Cocoapods and I don't want to modify my whole project only for adding only this library.

When I started using this library on development I downloaded the code from Github, I opened the project, I compiled it, I exported the framework into the project and I added the copy phase. Everything seemed to work fine but, yesterday when I archived the project I got the following error:

ld: bitcode bundle could not be generated because '/Users/ramUser/Documents/MyProject/Frameworks/Curve25519.framework/Curve25519' was built without full bitcode. All frameworks and dylibs for bitcode must be generated from Xcode Archive or Install build file '/Users/ramUser/Documents/MyProject/Frameworks/Curve25519.framework/Curve25519' for architecture arm64
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

The work around was to include the library project into my project and add the framework into 'Target Dependencies'.

Is there another solution so I can export only the framework into my project?
