Discord bot development (JDA) - Role Hierarchy for owner? - HierarchyException
I've encountered somewhat of a problem with Discord and JDA.
For some reason, I'm unable to modify my own role and nickname with the use of my bot?
I am thinking this must be because of the way the role hierarchy is structured in Discord, having higher or equal permissions results in an HierarchyException.
I've solved this error by putting the Bot role over everything else, with all permissions including Administrator enabled. It seems although that I'm equal in permissions with my bot, resulting in this error only for me, the server owner.
I'm wondering if there is any possible solution to let my bot have "higher permissions" or giving it a specific "tag" which would give it full access over the guild controller and all members?
I'm planning on releasing this bot to the public with many unique features, this involves updating nicknames and roles on members a lot, it would be very unfortunate and quite strange having to disable this for the highest member of the server, the server owner.
I'm thankful for any workarounds or solutions to this, it could just be that I misinterpreted something.

As Server Owner you are higher than any role, otherwise you could be kicked/banned, wich would result in a lot of problems. The only workaround is to give the bot owner of the Server, or simply not making it work for the Server Owner.
