Use `invoke_map()` using multiple functions and multiple inputs?

So I am following a guide here:

https://www.r-exercises.com/2017/06/01/a-primer-in-functional-programming-in-r-part-2/

Where the first exercise says to:

Exercise 1

From the airquality dataset (available in base R), Find the mean ,median ,standard deviation of all columns using map functions.

I found a suitable answer to the exercise but am trying to see if there is a more concise way to answer this (ie without having to map inside a map)

Here is my answer:

map(airquality, ~invoke_map(list(mean, median, sd), x = .x, na.rm = T)) %>%
unlist()

But is there a way to do something like:

invoke_map(list(mean, median, sd), x = airquality, na.rm = T))

?

  • Would map(airquality, ~list(mean(.), median(.), sd(.)), na.rm = T) work?
