Paramiko - Send enter keystroke
I am using Paramiko to install various software components on a remote Ubuntu 18.10 machine from a Windows machine. One of the installers I am trying to run for ldcproc requires you to press Yn
and then enter to complete the install. I am ok with how to send a Y
response to a prompt, but am trying ^J
to represent enter and am not getting anywhere. Can anyone assist?
class sudo_commands():
def __init__(self, user_name, passwrd, comp_name):
self.user_name = user_name
self.passwrd = passwrd
self.comp_name = comp_name
self.ssh = paramiko.SSHClient()
self.ssh.set_missing_host_key_policy(paramiko.AutoAddPolicy())
self.ssh.connect(comp_name, username = user_name, password = passwrd)
def execute(self, command):
transport = self.ssh.get_transport()
session = transport.open_session()
session.set_combine_stderr(True)
session.get_pty()
session.exec_command('^J')
stdin = session.makefile('wb', -1)
stdout = session.makefile('rb', -1)
stdin.write(self.passwrd +'n')
stdin.flush()
python python-3.x paramiko

Are you sure that the installer does not have a fully automatic mode?
