Angular 7 Components to load on first click of button and later show and hide

0

I'm trying a online form in Angular7 which has many sections like personal details, work details etc. Here I want to load the section on click of that particular section if not already visited and just show or hide if the section has been already visited.

I'm trying a basic example from https://angular.io/tutorial/ to have 2 tabs HeroDetails and Dashboard similar to my quest of personal details and work details. I tried to use [ngClass] in example1 for the sections and set show or hide classes; but if I do so then both the sections are loaded at the beginning and later on click of the tabs the sections are displayed or hidden. I also tried *ngIf in example2 to load the required section on demand (on click of the tab) but this will make the service call to fetch the data every time I click on the tab increasing the unnecessary load on server.

<nav>
<a routerLink="" (click)="currentScreen='Dashboard'">Dashboard</a>
<a routerLink="" (click)="currentScreen='HeroDetails'">Heroes</a>
</nav>
<!-- Example 1 -->
<div [ngClass]="{show: currentScreen==='HeroDetails', hide: currentScreen!=='HeroDetails'}">
<app-heroes></app-heroes>
</div>
<div [ngClass]="{show: currentScreen==='Dashboard', hide: currentScreen!=='Dashboard'}">
<app-dashboard></app-dashboard>
</div>
<!-- Example 2 -->
<div *ngIf="currentScreen==='HeroDetails'">
<app-heroes></app-heroes>
</div>
<div *ngIf="currentScreen==='Dashboard'">
<app-dashboard></app-dashboard>
</div>

expected result: load the HeroDetails component on click of the tab at first click and later just show or hide based on the current selection
